Barcode labels have made the recording, pricing and selling of goods much simpler- there are no two ways about it. But are you aware of kinds of barcode labels which are available?

There is a lot of variety, and different types of labels suit different purposes. Read on to determine which would be the most suitable for you.

Types

Barcode labels vary not only in their shapes and sizes but also in the kind of material used to make the labels.

The three main materials used to make barcode labels are as follows:
– Aluminium
– Polyester
– Ceramic

Aluminium barcode labels

Aluminium barcode labels are used in places which may have heavy wear and tear. This is due to the fact that they are extremely hard wearing. Their durability helps them to last a long time.

Polyester barcode labels

Polyester barcode labels as the name obviously suggests are made up of polyester. The image on such barcode labels is embedded beneath the plastic material. This material is bonded using high quality industrial adhesives. These labels are of good quality and are highly reliable.

Ceramic barcode labels

Ceramic barcode labels have a stainless steel base. The stainless steel base is then covered with a ceramic coating. Due to the stainless steel backing and high heat resistance of ceramic, the labels can withstand extremely high temperatures. Even strong acidic liquids and other substances will have little effect to damage such barcode labels.

Take at look at all of your options to find the best barcode labels for your individual needs.
